Hello everyone! Last week I went to a blogger's event with my Mom, and it was held at the newly opened Pizza Hut Restaurant at Kia Theater.
The Pizza hut I knew was the one at Gateway, which was near the overpass going to Farmer's Plaza. I didn't know where Kia Theater was, so I had to follow my Mom there- it didn't help that it was raining too, so it took us awhile. But it was well worth it!
Our first look at the new Pizza Hut showed us a 2-floor restaurant that was well-lit, and had a different atmosphere in comparison to the Pizza Hut in Gateway. It wasn't too bright that it was painful, but it was bright enough that it felt comfortable to be in. The chairs were pretty comfortable too! Though I have to admit it is a little crowded, due to how the chairs were arranged. But from where my seat was, I had a very nice view of the open kitchen and bar. It was interesting!
Upon entering, we could see that the first floor had the Open kitchen to the left, where they cooked most of the dishes listed in the menu. In the middle was a counter, and to our right was a Bar placed under the stairs leading to the second floor. The staff was very nice and didn't mind how many times I asked the same questions over and over. I didn't spend too much time on the first floor, except when I ate some bread sticks and drank some Mango shake, so on to the second floor!
The second floor had another kitchen, and according to the staff there this kitchen was what baked the pizzas, salads, and the some other dishes in the restaurant. This floor seemed to provide more privacy than the one downstairs. When I turned right, there was another room there called the "Function room", which had a TV and a counter there. This must be where they hold parties and business meetings... There was another area, outside the main room on the second floor. When I went out to the balcony, there were tables and chairs there- this was another place people could eat in while enjoying the view! Sadly, it was closed due to the construction going on next door... I hope I'll be able to eat there some time! After the tour, showing of each part of the restaurant and the food and drinks they had available (I managed to get a light pink drink! It tasted like soda...), they let us eat. The first thing I got was a Bread bowl with Clam Chowder soup inside. It was delicious! I would have finished the whole bowl if my Mom hadn't reminded me that there were still other dishes there.
We managed to get some pasta (I can't recall the name, it was a red sauce pasta with shrimp in it), a Friend egg and Roasted Tomato burger (It was so big that I had to cut it to eat it, and the combination was pretty good!) and, of course, some pizza (I got a Hawaiian Pizza slice, which my Mom commented that I was one of the only people in the family who liked that flavor. Hey, it works!). I still had my Mango shake from when I entered the restaurant, and I also managed to try a light pink alcoholic drink that tasted like soda (Our host assured my Mom that it was safe for me to drink, since it had very little alcohol in it.)
Overall I like the new restaurant! Though I won't be able to order some dishes when my family is around due to their own preferences (Some dishes are just meant to be shared!), I would love to go there again. It's definitely a place I'd take my friends to when we'd meet up in Cubao. If you guys happen to be in the area and are looking for a good place to eat, I recommend going to the Pizza Hut in KIA Theater. Trust me guys, it's really worth it- you won't regret eating there, that's for sure!
